Vuvuzela horn is part of culture and it is blown for motivation and good luck. I feel they have very strong lungs because they just don't seem to run out of breath.Vuvuzela is Not part of SA culture, it is a plastic product marketed purely for profit.

How am I supposed to enjoy the vuvuzela's when there that ridiculous football going on? Fifa should ban the football from the vuvuzela concerts, it's becoming almost impossible to listen! The raised decibels at rugby and soccer matches were unprecedented, The ear ache inevitable. Now the WC is over, South Africans have millions of 'vuvuzelas' they don't blow anymore. What other usagesOften times, when I am having a conversation with someone, all of the crap that drops from their mouth and pollutes me ear makes me wish there was a vuvuzela button to punch. Or just general stupidity....

Press mute. Unfortunately, that's about your only option. You could try running the sound signal through an EQ and try to filter it out that way. Other than that, there's not much that can be done. It sucks. They drive me nuts....
